Edgewood Independent School District is proud to celebrate our 2022 graduates from Fine Arts Academy, John F. Kennedy High School, and Memorial High School. Our goal is to celebrate our students' achievements with everyone's health and safety in mind. EISD will continue to adhere to the best practices outlined by local and state agencies regarding health and safety, including, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Texas Education Agency (TEA), and the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District (SA Metro Health).

John F. Kennedy High School and Memorial High School graduation ceremonies will take place at the Edgewood Veterans Stadium (1650 W. Thompson Pl.) at 8:00 PM, with gates opening at 6:45 PM. Be aware this is an OUTDOOR event. In case of inclement weather, the graduations will be rescheduled.

Edgewood Fine Arts STEAM Academy graduation ceremony will take place at the Edgewood Fine Arts Theater (402 Lance Street) at 5:00 PM, with doors opening at 4:00 PM.

Tickets
  • Graduates do not have a limited number of tickets this year. However, parking passes will be limited to 2 parking passes per family.
  • The event will be livestreamed on EISD's social media platforms.
Information for Graduates

GRADUATES:

  • Graduates do not have a limited number of tickets this year. However, parking passes will be limited to 2 parking passes for your family.
  • Campuses will distribute these parking passes to seniors who have been cleared for graduation, along with ordering information from the photographer for the event.
  • All senior grades are due May 27th, including all credit recovery and meeting all assessment requirements. Final exams for seniors are the week of May 18-24.
  • Rehearsals will be scheduled for each graduation. Please ensure you arrive to the JFK HS Band Hall between 6:15-6:45 pm the day of your graduation.
  • Remember to dress and act appropriately (following campus dress code).
  • DO NOT decorate your cap and gown in any manner.
  • For your safety, girls will not be permitted to wear high heels during the ceremony on the field.
  • Graduates are encouraged to be dropped off early or arrive in the same vehicle with your family due to limited parking.
  • Any graduates or guests showing the following symptoms below will not be allowed to attend graduation:
    • Cough
    • Chills
    • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
    • Fever (100° F or higher)
    • Muscle pains
    • Diarrhea
    • Sore throat
    • New loss of taste or smell
    • Or have come into close contact with a person who is lab confirmed to have COVID-19 in the past 10 days



Information for Families

FAMILIES:

  • Graduates do not have a limited number of tickets this year. However, parking passes will be limited to 2 parking passes per family.
    • No ticket is necessary to enter the stadium at 6:45 pm.
  •  Please stay informed by checking campus and district social media and websites regularly.
  • We are expecting high temperatures outside for the event. For your safety, please remain in your car until 6:45 pm when the gates open. Concessions will be available for purchase prior to the event.
  • Masks will be optional in accordance with CDC and local health guidelines on this date.
  • The following items are NOT permitted in Veterans Stadium or Edgewood Theatre. Guests will be asked to remove these items from the premises:
    • Air horns and other noisemakers
    • Balloons or confetti
    • Stuffed animals
    • Signs or posters of any size
    • Strollers and baby carriers
  • All guests must follow the clear bag policy for this event.  

  • Any graduates or guests showing the following symptoms below will not be allowed to attend graduation:
